Dear St. Joseph, we honour you as the protector of the Universal Church. You have gone through the pain of doubt, worry, anguish and suffering.  And so, you know our struggles.  Help us to be attentive to the revelation of God’s will as you were.  We hope to overcome our difficulties through your loving intercession.  Supported by your example we desire to walk in the path of holiness.  Amen.

Fr Tom McDonough CP, Provincial Superior, Holy Spirit Province, has said that, “For so many of our Passionist family these homilies provide a deeply spiritual link with our Passionist charism.  They provide weekly nourishment for so many in parishes where, as Jesus warned – ‘the children are given stones instead of bread’.  They nurture the many who can no longer get to church sometimes through health, sometimes through disillusionment”.  He added, “Brian probably preaches to more people each week than any of us do on any given Sunday.
