Catholic Mass and Sacraments at the Royal Hobart Hospital 

Visitation of hospital patients is by request.

7th to 12th September 2026 – Special arrangements

Between Monday 7th and Saturday 12th September 2026 please contact St Mary’s Cathedral on (03) 6234-4463 if you or a family member require Sacramental visitation. During this period all hospital calls and visitations will be undertaken by the Archdiocese while Fr Justin, Dominic and Mike attend a Province Assembly in Melbourne.

At all other times: St Joseph’s Catholic Church is the primary contact for providing Catholic rites and sacraments – Fr Dominic can be reached on (03) 6234 4866.

The RHH Chaplaincy service is maintaining a 24/7 on-call service for staff, patients and visitors who would like to talk or need some informal support.
